WENDY MORRISON
Founder | CEO

Wendy founded YZED Projects to innovate....with purpose and impact. She has over 20 years experience in nonprofit management and Board experience in a variety of sectors including health, environment, social justice, community development, education, the arts, recreation and tourism. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations and partners where collaborative funding models, innovative ideas and partnerships were taking off. She lives and works in a world of what’s possible.

“I’ve had decades of learning from inspiring leaders and passionate colleagues. I became a champion for change within organizations – developing sound strategies and practices to build effective organizations, teams and programs. The core of this work is about community and connection. I am most excited about bringing together a team of inspiring young people and experienced coaches – to connect, create and build a better future.”

HALEY FRIESEN
Impact Coordinator

Haley is a 'big picture' thinker with cross-sectoral experience in sustainability, social + environmental impact, and governance/policy. More importantly, she loves to create spaces for discovery and connection between folks. At YZED Projects she engages her holistic perspective to support the operations of impact-driven organizations. Haley holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University on beautiful Vancouver Island where she presently calls home. When she is not working, she can be found scooting around town on her bike, practising yoga, savouring a good cup of coffee or hiking mountains on the wet coast.

“I believe that compassion for both people and the environment are synonymous which guides me in my life’s journey. This is why I am excited to bring my experience with the social sector and passion for community connections to help support an engaged and connected Yukon. All the while, remaining humble and committed to my own learning journey.”

Partners need to mobilize both existing and additional resources— technology development, financial resources, capacity building. Multi-stakeholder partnerships will be crucial to leverage the inter-linkages between the SDGs to enhance their effectiveness and impact and accelerate progress in achieving the Goals.

Our current projects are working to support the following SDGs:
